N2  - The establishment of postlaunch controls on nuclear-armed missiles, which would enable a country to destroy its missiles in flight in case of an accidental or unauthorized launch, would add another safeguard to the control of nuclear weapons. A system of postlaunch control could be made secure against attempts by another country to use the system to destroy authorized launches in flight.
